Episode Three: We get LIT with Frankie Fyre
It’s an auspicious day here in the Podfort as we are joined by the incredible and deeply wise Frankie Fyre for a truly special conversation we can’t stop thinking about. Using Frankie’s first full-length novel, The Honeymoon Mix-Up, as a jumping-off point, we dive deep into craft, talking about hearing your characters, being a planster, writing wounds and the healing journey/character growth, and writing sex that serves the plot. We also discuss the importance of writing diversely well and the life-saving importance of intersectional representation. We end our conversation talking about the songs that would open the movies of our lives, and Frankie gives the best answer of all time.
